Marketing Planning Associates is a specialist consultancy established by Alastair Stevenson in 1987, following a 15 year career in a variety of senior marketing, planning and development roles in the hotel and tourism sectors.

MPA provides a comprehensive range of marketing, business planning and related services to the private and public sectors, encompassing tourism, hotels, attractions and the leisure industry.   The consultancy team is based on a core of commercially experienced individuals, ensuring that each assignment is carried out by professionals in the relevant field.

Our assignments are carried out by the named professional team, without the involvement of junior consultants.   We pride ourselves in the development of individual responses to each assignment.   Our reports provide practical, realistic and honest answers.   We recognise the importance of fully satisfied customers and will always ‘go the extra mile’ to ensure our clients’ needs are met.

Amongst our clients we are pleased to include the National Tourist Boards of England and Wales, many of the Regional Tourist Boards, a large number of the UK’s major hotel companies, major attractions and international consultancies, particularly Deloitte and Touche.   

Each assignment is lead by either Alastair Stevenson or Frank Coan (who held Board level Marketing Director positions with both Forte and Whitbread for some 12 years).
